Single Dad Adopts Five Siblings Under Age Six In Order To Raise Them Together(video)

Not every hero dons a cape. Sometimes they just decide to have a significant impact on children's lives. One of them is Lamont Thomas, who made the decision to adopt five siblings at once in Buffalo, New York, in October 2019. The five kids, who ranged in age from one to five, were kept together for one simple reason: if not.

Lamont Thomas has always been devoted to supporting young people. He demonstrated this once more on October 17th, 2019, when he adopted five siblings. Lamont is now the delighted father of 12 children as a result of the adoption's completion.

According to this 2019 story from ABC News, the children Lamont just adopted are five, four, three, two, and one years old. The single father had seven previous kids before this adoption. This is on top of the numerous foster children he has cared for over the previous 20 years.

Lamont's journey to parenthood started in 2000 when he decided to become a foster parent in order to take care of a particular friend's child. Lamont has two biological children, Anthony and LaMonica, who are also part of his family.

Germayne and Tremayne, twins, were adopted by Lamont in 2007, and then Jamie and German. According to ABC News, Lamont adopted Michael, the first child he had ever fostered, after these first four adoptions.

Lamont has never refused to accept a child. He either adopts them personally or retains them until they are old enough to leave the system or are allowed to return to their family.

Prior to learning that one of his previous foster children's children needed to be taken in so that their families wouldn't be split up, Lamont believed he was finished adopting children. Zendaya, five, Jamel, four, Nakia, three, Major, two, and Michaela, one, have been split up into four houses, he revealed to Good Morning America in 2019. Lamont was devastated by this and was adamant that the siblings would be able to remain as a unit.

Lamont loves being able to care for the small children because they give him so much energy. Hopefully, his tale may encourage others to think about adopting or fostering needy kids.
