Woman Saves Cracked Duck’s Egg And Carries It In Her Bra For 35 Days

When Betsy Ross from Visalia, California, came upon a fractured duck egg, she made the decision to rescue it since she understands what raising children entails. The story began when Betsy, her kids, and her husband, went to play pickleball at the park, writes thepetneeds

They were saddened when they discovered a destroyed duck nest while playing. After a lengthy search, Betsy and her family discovered a little broken egg. So, Betsy decided to preserve it by taking it home.

She made a call to a nearby wildlife group to see if they would accept the duck once it was hatched, and they said yes. To keep the cracked egg warm and humid, she placed it in her bra. Betsy added that she only needed to rotate the egg four to five times per day.

Then Betsy started looking up information on how to take care of and what to do while a duckling is hatching. After looking, she realized that she needed to stop rotating the egg because at this stage it only required a lot of humidity. So, she acquired a lot of tape, a bowl of water, gallon baggies, a plastic container, and a lamp to create a hatching box herself.

Thankfully, the duckling hatched, but because to his extreme weakness, he was unable to stand or walk. So, Betsy assisted him by giving him some water. Betsy said that she would wake up one day to find him awake. She would therefore allow him to swim in the tub and dirt puddles.

She noted that the adorable duckling would follow her voice and snooze with her during the day. She then realized she had to get him to a better location.

In order to find a small rescue farm, she got in touch with a rescue link she knew. The wonderful news is that he is doing well and has a new human female who adores him. What a joyful conclusion!
