Australian actress Nicole Kidman, who was born in the United States, has
won several awards over her illustrious career. From five nominations, she
won an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy, and a Golden Globe. Kidman was the
highest-paid actress in Hollywood in 2006, 2018 and 2019. The New York Times
named Kidman as one of the top five actresses of the twenty-first century in
2020.
She started her career in 1983, and now, she is most recognized for her
work in the movies "Eyes Wide Shut," "The Hours," for which she won an
Academy Award, and "Moulin Rouge!" She is also a popular television
personality, with "Big Little Lies" serving as the setting for her best
performance. She won two Emmys for the series—one for acting and one for
executive producing.
Kidman and her husband Keith Urban have two children together and have been
married since 2006. The actress attributes her self-confidence and ability
to come out of her shell to her husband. On the big screen, Kidman's
confidence has, however, always shown through.
The celebrity is not scared to go through a dramatic metamorphosis if it
allows her to fully inhabit her character. Kidman has undergone several
significant aesthetic changes over the course of her lengthy career, and the
effort undoubtedly improved both her appearance and her performances.
For many years, Kidman has been a wonderful celebrity, but she has also
shown herself to be a terrific friend. She presented Hugh Jackson, a fellow
actor, with a sizable, kind surprise in November 2022.
Kidman has experienced a great deal in her life. Prior to falling in love
and getting a famous divorce with Tom Cruise, she was married to Urban.
Although she suffered with pregnancy as well, she is happy with the family
she has now.
She admitted to Marie Claire in August 2021 that she "would've liked 10
kids," but that it was alright because she would get to raise other kids
instead. I have 12 godchildren and six nieces and nephews. I enjoy raising
children because they are wacky, humorous, and uninhibited. After that, you
may see them develop and be sent on their way.
Actors Jackman and Kidman have shown they can use their platforms for good,
and they are also close friends. Jackman is an Australian actor best known
for his time from 2000 to 2017 as Wolverine in the "X-Men" film series. The
celebrity has gone on to enjoy a lucrative and well-regarded career. He has
been honored with a Grammy, an Emmy, two Tony Awards, and a Golden Globe.
Before making the transition to the Hollywood film business, Jackman began
his career in Australia by working in theater and on television.
In movies like "Kate & Leopold," "Van Helsing," "The Prestige," and
"Australia," the actor has starred as the main character. In addition,
Jackman played Jean Valjean in the epic musical movie "Les Misérables," for
which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. "The Greatest Showman"
is another well-liked musical picture with Jackman as the lead.
Over the years, Jackman and Kidman have both been given excellent chances,
leading to extremely successful careers. When they can, they do their best
to give back, though.
Kidman remarked in an interview with the National Film and Sound Archive of
Australia (NFSA):
But, you know, it's still really difficult to support oneself in this
country as a film actor. You must thus be diversified and open to
experiencing new things. You must be open to experimenting with various
professions. But it's our responsibility to continuously support this
sector, ensuring that it expands and prospers so that each succeeding
generation can say, "Oh, I grew up with that movie.
It thus wasn't unexpected to see Kidman contribute and give back when she
went to see Jackman perform on stage for the Broadway production of "Music
Man." In a video, Kidman made a really kind contribution, promising to
provide $100,000 for the hat Jackman wore in the play. Then Kidman came out
on stage to join Jackman, who gave her a warm embrace and a round of
applause.
All of this was done in conjunction with Equity Fights AIDS/Broadway Cares.
I adore Broadway, I love what Broadway Cares does, but I also want to add
that the play is fantastic, said Kidman.
Jackson commended Kidman for her generosity as she went back to her seat.
He stated, "I've known Nic for about 30 years." "Since I've known her, I can
assure you that this is not a surprise. She is among the most giving people
I know.
Jackman tweeted his appreciation for the actress on Nov. 27, 2022,
writing:
"Nicole Kidman's kindness is so overwhelming that I'm dumbfounded! You ARE
incredible. I appreciate your friendship and assistance.
It's wonderful to see Kidman and Jackman's friendship, and even better to
see how they have made use of their platforms to support others.
The generosity emanating from #NicoleKidman leaves me speechless! You ARE amazing. Thank you for your friendship and support! @MusicManBway @NicholastheWard @BCEFA pic.twitter.com/ZMUsgdIqAU
