According to ilovemydogsomuch, the Maxey Appaloosa Foundation in Colorado
is a refuge committed to protecting the indigenous Nez Perce Appaloosa
Horse.
Recently, several employees observed the first meeting between Ghost, a
newborn foal, and Aengus, their farm dog, and it is so adorable!
Aengus is an extremely conscientious farm dog that always keeps an eye on
all of the animals living on the property. He was worried about the mother
horse the entire time after learning that she had given birth. The foal was
still quite fragile, so the caregivers didn't let him to meet Ghost for a
few hours.
When Aengus is finally let to meet Ghost for himself, he can be seen
rushing towards the stable. He is astonished to discover Ghost laying
lifeless on the floor as soon as he walks in. However, the caregivers
reassure him that young foals need some time to learn how to stand up for
themselves.
Aengus cautiously approaches the mother horse, who generously leads him to
her calf. The dog bends in to give the gorgeous foal a head kiss after being
overcome by emotion at his sight. Aww! This sanctuary's animals are really
fortunate to have such a hardworking and considerate dog by their
side.
