Cozy, adorable creatures like dogs, cats, and maybe even bunnies spring to
mind when you think about animals. A rooster most likely doesn't immediately
spring to mind.
But a young adolescent in Atlanta, Texas, has a really particular
relationship with the family pet rooster, and their bond is endearingly
funny.
Savannah's mother, Holley Burns, coincidentally happens to be the best
friend of her cock, Frog.
Holley said to The Dodo, "He hopped, not walked." "My son said, 'It looks
like a frog hopping.'" He ought to go by "Frog."
Additionally, Frog didn't act like other chickens. It seems that he would
rather socialize with people than with the other animals on the farm.
He paid close attention, according to Holley. He was more interested in
what people were doing than in what the hens were doing. I doubt he believes
he is a rooster.
And Frog made his choice of his favorite human quickly.
Savannah used to carry him around with her when he was tiny while she did
her chores, according to Holley. As she led him to the washing area, he
would observe with interest. He would watch her wash the dishes as she
positioned him on the counter and went about her business.
Savannah enjoys spending time with Frog when she reads, watches TV, and
does other things. He adores his girlfriend!
Savannah gets along well with other animals, but her bond with Frog is
especially strong.
However, their connection may have the sweetest part that occurs every
school day.
Frog walks Savannah up the driveway to the bus every morning. He then bides
his time till his closest friend returns from school later that
afternoon.
On Facebook, Holley posted a video of young Frog running into the driveway
as soon as he hears the bus approaching. His hairy little legs are moving at
a hundred miles per hour!
It seems that Frog has been known to attempt to board the bus if Savannah
is too sluggish to get off!
The situation has escalated to the point that Savannah and her brother's
failure to disembark from the school bus on time will result in Frog getting
on the bus, according to Holley. "Our bus driver is excellent; he is aware
to keep an eye out for Frog. Before they depart, he ensures that they are
clear.
What a sweet friendship!
