‘Friends’ Actor Says Matthew Perry Refused to Let Chandler Cheat on Monica, Asked Writers to Scrap Storyline Because Fans ‘Would Never Forgive’ Him

Actress Lisa Cash made her television debut in 1999's "Friends" Season 5 as a flight attendant who meets Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross (David Schwimmer) in the episode "The One in Vegas: Part 1." However, Cash says in a recent interview with TMZ that she originally appeared in the episode as a hotel employee that Chandler (Matthew Perry) cheats on Monica (Courteney Cox) with following a disagreement over Monica's lunch with Richard (Tom Selleck).

Cash told TMZ, "I was very excited when I was invited as a guest star." In the scenario, Monica and Chandler were fighting over going to lunch with Richard in Vegas. In our screenplay, Chandler buys room service when he first gets up to the hotel, and as a hotel employee, I deliver it up to him. After we have a conversation, laugh, and develop a bond, Chandler betrays Monica by sleeping with my character.

Cash said, "We had practiced it and everything." "I learned that Perry informed the writers that the audience would never forgive Chandler for cheating on Monica the day before we were filming in front of a live audience. I think he was right! That may have altered both his character and the plot of the program.

Perry seems to have taken matters into his own hands in an effort to save a major love story on the program. Warner Bros. TV has been contacted by Variety for further information.

Following Perry's passing, this narrative is the most recent to surface. At the age of 54, he tragically died away on October 28. His death's cause is still a mystery. Law authorities said he was discovered unconscious in a hot tub at his Los Angeles residence. There were no indications of drug use or foul play.

Cash was replaced as a flight attendant in a sequence with Schwimmer and Aniston after her initial part was eliminated from the episode. She described working with Perry during the deleted scene preparations as "so neat" to TMZ.

Cash remarked, "I felt so comfortable." He put me at ease just by being so amiable and kind. I had a great time. Doing the scene with him was easy and a lot of fun.

John Stamos recently recalled his time spent on a "Friends" episode. In Season 9, he made an unexpected appearance as Zach, Chandler's coworker who is being pursued by Monica and Chandler as a possible sperm donor. To evaluate Zach's emotional and physical qualities, the couple invites him to supper at their flat.

"I hung with Matthew a lot when I guest starred as Zach, the potential sperm donor for Chandler and Monica," Stamos recalled on Instagram. "Matthew and I had been friendly long before 'Friends.'" "As I prepare to enter the stage, Matt murmurs, 'The audience is going to go crazy when they see you!'" Prepare yourself for a lot of screaming. When I open the door, there is stillness. I felt so ashamed.

Stamos added that Perry rallied the audience to his cause in a hero-like manner.

After the scenario was completed, Stamos remarked, "We finish the scene and as I start to slither back to my dressing room and quit showbiz, Matt walks over to the studio audience," indicating that Perry had urged the group to applaud John Stamos. He's so much more attractive in person that you guys definitely didn't recognize him at first!

In response to Perry's demise, Stamos said, "I never forgot that and the world will never forget you."
