While shopping at Target with his mother, Cameron Cook noticed a small girl
by herself and an odd man who was standing uncomfortably near to her.
Heather, Cameron's mother, was engrossed in shopping when the 17-year-old
insisted that she pause and check the situation since she knew something
wasn't right.
"My mom says, Cam, let's go, keep walking, and I see the guy grabbing
himself. I was like, no, something's going on."
"I was close enough that I could smell the liquor coming from his mouth,"
Heather said. It was awful.
Cameron boldly went up to the big man and asked him out loud what he was
doing.
"I approached him and said, 'Please pardon me, sir. Are you familiar with
her?'" "I'm not a pervert, I'm not a pervert," was the first thing he said.
Cameron answered, "I didn't ask you that, sir.
Until he left the store, Cameron kept berating the man. The adolescent
probably prevented the young child from suffering an unimaginable destiny.
His mother remarked, "He was big, and Cameron had no fear at all." "He just
refused to back down from his knowledge that what this man was doing was
wrong.â€
Cameron remarked, "I'm just glad I was there to protect her." "Because you
can never be sure what might have happened."
However, he merely wants to encourage people to take action when they sense
that something is wrong—he does not seek recognition for his deeds.
"Anybody should just have the courage to stand up," he said to the Boston
Herald. That doesn't even require guts; it only requires being a person;
anyone may take the initiative and carry out such an action.
Today, tell and spread the tale of this hero!
