Even though Sofia Jirau is only 24 years old, she has already fulfilled a
lot of her life's ambitions.
She formally began her modeling career in 2019, and a year later, she made
her runway debut at New York Fashion Week, one of the biggest fashion shows
in the world. She is currently making history as the first model with Down
syndrome for Victoria's Secret!
Jirau recalled saying, "I'm going to be a model and a businesswoman," as a
child, gazing at herself in the mirror.
One of the seventeen ladies selected for Victoria's Secret's newest
underwear line, Love Cloud, is this Puerto Rican model. Every item is
designed to be sufficiently cozy for all-day wear, and inclusiveness was
taken into consideration while selecting each model.
Victoria's Secret chief creative director Raúl Martinez declared that the
"Love Cloud Collection is a major moment in the brand's evolution." "This
campaign is an important part of the new Victoria's Secret standard we are
creating, from the incredible inclusive spirit on set to the cast of
incredible women who bring the collection to life."
Jirau posted a statement on Instagram, saying, "Thank you Victoria's Secret
for seeing me as a model who has #NoLimits and making me part of the
inclusive Love Cloud Collection campaign." "There are no limits—inside or
out.”
This incredible talent has accomplished dreams beyond modeling. She has
also crossed off "becoming a businesswoman" off her list of objectives after
starting her own online store, Alavett, which is pronounced "I love it" in
honor of Jirau's catchphrase.
Her brand's name appears on mugs, phone cases, tees, and wallets at the
store, with the name stylized to incorporate a cute heart that extends from
the final "T."
Jirau's accomplishment of being the first model for Victoria's Secret with
down syndrome is just the start of her amazing career; we can't wait to
watch what she does next!
"Dream big, my people," she said. "Limited neither inside nor outside." I
am ecstatic and grateful to everyone who has congratulated me."."
